Friendship House

Friendship House is dedicated to empowering people to take charge of their own lives, in the context of their own culture, values and aspirations.

They provide a safe place where individuals can be assisted to find solutions to life's challenges.

They also welcome and coordinate placements for training and volunteer work for social work and religious students and community workers in the community.

We also provide a Community Lounge - Te Manawanui and Cafe on the ground floor, with the many other services being offered from this central location in the heart of Manukau City.

Social work support courses - including Living Without Violence for Men (anger management), self development and personal growth support, and professional development courses.

Spirituality Resource Work - including a weekly reflection time called Warming the Spirit, on Tuesdays from 8.30am-9.00am. They are also able to provide pastoral care and supervision (which can be negotiated with the Management Team if required).

Community Centre and Cafe - a place to rest and belong. Affordable tea, coffee and small meals.

Community Resource Work - they provide a meeting place for community groups and social service agencies. They also have rooms available for hire.

Counselling and Family Support - Their qualified and experienced Counsellors work with individuals and/or families to improve their quality of life. For additional information please go to their website.
