During working hours, operators provide information for victims of crime, their friends and whānau.
They connect people to services where appropriate and ensure that any crisis calls are directed to the appropriate crisis organisation.
We provide information about support services available and the justice system.
More information is available on the website www.victimsinfo.govt.nz along with booklets to support people affected by serious crime, by homicide, by sexual violence and supports of young (child) witnesses, Information on Victims rights and the Victims Charter. All booklets are available in 11 different languages: English, Maori, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Cook Island Maori Fijian, Hindi, Korean, Niuean, Samoan, Somali, Tongan, Tokelauan.
Some financial assistance is available to victims, and their families, of serious crime. Read the website or talk to the operators for more information.
