274 On Track

The 274 Youth On Track was a community initiated project that was established as a result of rising crime in the Otara area. The service has six full time youth workers that connect with, engage and mentor young people through the following:

- After school clubs run from the centre's large dance studio and boxing gym; current clubs are PrideLands boxing; Hood Beats (music); Soar (HipHop). Coming: Sports and Art.

- School Holidays: programmes are run to build relationships and they have the opportunity to offer positive activities for young people to freely participate in. Youth Leadership Camps are also part of the 274 programme; camps are organised during the school holidays.

- 274 Youth Workers will be hosting the FOBO community event this year (2013) in Otara, details up shortly of park venue and date.
