HIPPY, Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters, Papakura

HIPPY is a home education programme for children and their parents. Children aged 3 1/2 to 4 years old begin at the March intake each year. HIPPY helps the children to become more responsible, responsive and successful school pupils, while parents grow in confidence and positive attitudes to education.

HIPPY consists of 60 weekly programmes over a two year period. The enjoyable activities help to prepare the child for school by developing skills in language, listening, memory, imagination, problem-solving, numbers, writing, colour, shape and more. Each family has a tutor who guides them through the programme.

HIPPY enables parents to spend quality one on one time with their child, in their 15 min daily sessions.
