Consumer and Advocacy Services - Advocacy @ MHAPS

You don't have to face it alone.

Advocates can act in support, or speak on your behalf, when you need assistance dealing with medical professionals, Work and Income, ACC, Child Youth and Family, landlords, treatment programmes etc.

Consumer and Advocacy Services - Advocacy @ MHAPS offer peer support, advocacy, education and information about your rights as a consumer through a self empowerment process to mental wellbeing. Their peer support drop-in centre offers a safe and comfortable community place.

This is a free and independent service to mental health consumers. Phone them for advice and information.

Advocacy Team - now includes advocates who specialise in addictions issues as well as mental health. All information is available through (03) 366 8288, and the service does have capacity for new clients.
