YouthLaw Aotearoa

YouthLaw Aotearoa  is a community law centre for children and young people on low incomes under 25 throughout Aotearoa. They provide a variety of free services for children and young people including:


Legal Advice Line 0800 UTHLAW (884 529):

YouthLaw offers free and confidential legal advice to anyone under 25 years of age on a low income and those assisting them.

This service operates between 10.00am and 4.00pm Mon to Fri and is staffed by practising solicitors.

They give information, advice and assistance on a whole range of legal matters, including minor criminal, school issues, bullying, employment, debt, driving etc.


Law Related Education

YouthLaw provides law related education sessions and interactive workshops in a variety of settings including schools, PTEs, youth groups, community organisations, CABs, ITOs, health providers and government departments/agencies, about their work and about the law as it affects children and young people. Call them on 0800 UTHLAW to book a session.
