Altered High Youth Team, Community Alcohol and Drug Service

For young people aged between 13 and 20, and their families / whanau who have concerns about their own or someone else’s alcohol and other drug use.

We provide:

  • Confidential face to face counselling and groups
  • Supportive family work
  • Youth friendly interventions
  • Mobile service – we can come to you
  • CEP interventions - awareness and assessment of mental health and substance use issues in young people
  • Training, liaison and consultation for primary care providers across the Auckland region
  • Same-sex attraction focus clinician
  • Up to date alcohol and other drug information for young people

Entry criteria – If you are aged between13-20, live in Auckland region, have concerns about alcohol or substance use

How do you make a referral to Altered High?

  • Ring us, An Altered High worker will take your call, explain more about the service and answer any questions you have.
  • If you haven’t got any credit, text us, and we’ll call or text you back.
  • Print out an Altered High referral form (PDF), fill it in and fax it back.
  • You can contact us by email.
